AFP: Putin says will engage with West after record vote win
Moscow (AFP) - Vladimir Putin on Monday said he would address disputes with the West after an election that saw him return to the Kremlin with a record vote share, as Moscow faces increasing isolation.
International leaders were slow to congratulate the Russian president after a Sunday election that saw him take almost 77 percent of the vote, as monitors reported ballot stuffing and other alleged cases of fraud.
The poisoning of an ex-spy in Britain along with fresh sanctions from Washington over allegations of meddling in the US 2016 election have isolated Moscow to an extent not seen since the Cold War.

Putin has had his way for years because NATO is split between those that fear a Russian takeover and those that don't. German is in the later camp and Poland and the Baltics are in the former. Looks like Norway and Great Britain are getting up from the Germany side and walking over to the Polish side.
Without German leadership, money and spending on an effective German military the split continues and basically paralyzes NATO's reactions.
So yeah, nothing changes.
"Without German leadership..." The US should withdraw from NATO. This includes all US forces in Germany should be removed. Such a policy change will likely lead lead to saner policies on the part of Germany.
As for the Poles and the Baltics, these are beyond pathologically insane countries. The absence of NATO will likely lead to saner behavior on their part.
As for Ukraine, this is the most insane country on earth. If it were completely dismembered and placed under Russian control, this would be a great thing. We could FINALLY be rid of this chump country's leadership forever!!
