Putin is just more successful at being corrupt than the Clintons.

Obama is also corrupt. Rezko did not happen in a vacuum.

Russia is a total designated enemy of the US and that includes its president, which means no holds barred by the inept US administrators in Washington. Look for Russia's inclusion in the Axis of Evil. The destruction Of Russia is high on the US agenda, and China would be too except for its effect on US financial interests.

Anyone who has ever dealt with the US government on any level has to deal with a dash of corruption and allot bureacratic incompetence. I suspect it's the same when dealing governments in general. As such, making such an accusation was not going to win friends or influence people but was only going to make a bad situation worse.

Overall a very stuoid thing to say. If I were POTUS, this man gets fired immediately if I can possibly do it. Furthermore we really could use Russian help in areas that are vital to us. We never were likely to get this help.

Leveling this accusation right now had no upside potential along with huge downside potential. The term "unforced error" comes to mind.
